BOSTON (AP) — The New York Yankees and Boston Crimson Sox had a sport postponed by rain for the second time in three days on Wednesday evening.

New York and Boston performed a doubleheader on Tuesday after Monday’s opener of the four-game collection was postponed.

They’ll now play one other twinbill on Thursday, with the primary sport scheduled for 1:35 p.m. The nightcap will stay at its frequently scheduled time of seven:15 p.m.

The Yankees (73-72) swept Tuesday’s doubleheader to tug even with the Crimson Sox for final place within the AL East.

To fill Jansen’s spot on the roster, LHP Brandon Walter was recalled from Triple-A Worcester. … RHP Kaleb Ort, on the injured record since July 5 with proper elbow irritation, threw one inning of reside batting follow on Wednesday. … RHP Zack Kelly, out since April 13 with proper elbow irritation, is predicted to throw two innings in a minor league rehab sport on Friday.
