Police allegedly recovered “numerous narcotics” from the condo, together with 240 grams of fentanyl and 10 kilos of marijuana.

Police arrested and charged an East Boston man final week after looking out his condo and allegedly discovering 240 grams of fentanyl, 10 kilos of marijuana, and medicines stashed subsequent to his 2-year-old little one’s crib. 

Robert Ciampi, 63, is now going through quite a few drug costs, together with cocaine and fentanyl trafficking and several other counts of possession with intent to distribute, the Suffolk County District Lawyer’s Workplace stated in a press launch Sunday. 

After a months-long investigation, on Nov. 1, Boston police executed a search warrant at Ciampi’s condo, which is positioned at 54 Orleans St., the DA’s workplace stated. There, they allegedly discovered “numerous narcotics all through the condo” and a chest with luggage of medication positioned subsequent to his 2-year-old little one’s crib. 

In the end, officers allegedly recovered roughly 240 grams of fentanyl, 65 grams of cocaine, 12 grams of crack cocaine, 10 kilos of marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms, and $7,500 in money from the condo, the DA’s workplace stated. 

“Fentanyl is a dying drug, plain and easy. The quantity seized right here … represents an incredible quantity of potential human devastation,” Suffolk District Lawyer Kevin Hayden stated within the launch. “We’ve seen the impression of fentanyl use throughout Suffolk County … We is not going to relent in pursuing the people who find themselves trafficking this killer substance.”

At Ciampi’s arraignment, a prosecutor defined that his legal report goes way back to 1975 and consists of numerous drug convictions, the DA’s workplace stated. A choose later set bail at $5,000 and ordered him to stay drug and alcohol free, put on a GPS monitor, and to remain in his dwelling when not at work.
