Gasoline tanker crash causes fireplace, shuts down a part of Route 1A in East Boston

A serious freeway was closed Wednesday morning after a crash involving a gas tanker brought about a hearth and injured one individual.

Boston law enforcement officials responded to the intersection of Boardman Avenue and McClellan Freeway, or Route 1A, in East Boston at 2:49 a.m., police mentioned.
