MANCHESTER, Conn. (AP) — A tractor trailer carrying over 8,000 gallons of gasoline alongside Interstate 84 overturned and burst into flames after an accident, shutting down the freeway in a single day as the hearth burned down.
The tanker rolled over after an accident involving a passenger automobile round 9 p.m. Sunday on the eastbound facet of the freeway in Manchester, simply east of Hartford. The tanker caught hearth and exploded a number of occasions, an announcement from the Manchester Hearth Division stated.
Three folks have been taken to native hospitals for non-life-threatening accidents.
Firefighters determined to let the hearth burn itself down, the assertion stated.
I-84 visitors was shut down in each instructions Sunday evening. One eastbound lane remained closed early Monday.
