Awards season for the culinary business is right here, with the James Beard Basis semifinalist record launched Wednesday recognizing the 12 months’s finest eating places and cooks from each nook of the nation.

Every state in New England is represented — particularly Rhode Island and Maine — throughout the distinguished award’s 11 classes. 

This semifinalist record will slender on April 3, when the James Beard Basis broadcasts the finalist nominations. Picked from that record are the winners come June 10 throughout a gala in Chicago.
