Newton Police Capt. William L. Spalding, 50, of Framingham, died abruptly on Nov 1, 2023.
Billy was born and raised in Newton and was a graduate of Newton North Excessive Faculty in 1995 and obtained his Bachelor’s from Duquesne College and Grasp’s from Western New England School.
Invoice was a twenty-five yr veteran of the Newton Police Division. Appointed as a patrolman in 1998, and promoted to Sergeant in 2006. In 2013 Invoice was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and spent a lot of his time sustaining the departments “Help Companies” and Nationwide Accreditation. A short while later, 2018, Invoice was promoted to Captain the place he commanded the Communications Bureau and most lately the Patrol Bureau. Invoice was a member of the Massachusetts’s Coalition of Police, and held the place of Vice President on the native board. Son-in-law of Jean and Jack Farneth.
