Prosecutors say Alban Dobra was attempting to kick his sisters out of his dwelling on New Yr’s Day when he pushed one in every of them, inflicting a deadly head harm.

A Peabody man was charged with manslaughter after allegedly pushing his sister on New Yr’s Day and inflicting a head harm that killed her a number of days later.

Alban Dobra, 39, was initially charged with assault and battery with a harmful weapon inflicting critical bodily harm; he was arraigned Monday in Peabody District Court docket on an upgraded cost of manslaughter. 

Based on the Essex County District Lawyer’s Workplace, Dobra was attempting to kick his two sisters out of his dwelling on Jan. 1 when he pushed one in every of them, 54-year-old Mimoza Sawtelle, off the entrance steps. Prosecutors say Sawtelle’s head struck the paved walkway as she fell. 

Peabody police arrived at Dobra’s Esquire Drive dwelling round 5:22 p.m. and located Sawtelle with a critical head harm. She was rushed to the hospital for medical therapy and later died from her accidents on Jan. 5, the DA’s workplace mentioned.
