CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — Dániel Gazdag, Mikael Uhre and Nathan Harriel every scored within the first half and the Philadelphia Union beat the short-handed New England Revolution 3-1 on Saturday within the first spherical of the MLS playoffs.
Philadelphia (16-9-10), the defending Japanese Convention champions, will play at New England (15-10-10) on Nov. 8 in Recreation 2 of the best-of-three collection.
New England captain Carles Gil left the sport early within the first half with an obvious leg damage. Gil’s exit got here after a tough problem from Uhre and adopted Gazdag’s Nineteenth-minute objective from the penalty spot.
Uhre made it 2-0 within the twenty sixth and Harriel added one other 11 minutes later for a 3-0 lead. Gustavo Bou scored for New England within the 68th.
Philadelphia and New England met within the playoffs for the second time after the Revs eradicated the Supporters’ Defend successful Union 2–0 in Chester within the first spherical in 2020.
Philadelphia entered the playoffs having drawn six of their final eight video games, with the lone loss in that point coming in New England on Choice Day.
New England has not gained any of its final 14 away matches in all competitions.
