Police are warning residents to not method or interact with the person and girl believed to be perpetrating the thefts.
Residents of six Massachusetts are being urged to be looking out for a person and girl who authorities say have been robbing unsuspecting victims, who are sometimes aged, of their jewellery.
In an advisory for Lowell, Tyngsborough, Chelmsford, Dracut, Billerica, and Tewksbury issued by the Middlesex County District Legal professional’s workplace, officers stated the suspects are recognized to journey in a crew and usually name victims over to their car “to talk to them in a pleasant and interesting method.”
Authorities didn’t disclose what number of thefts have taken place.
“They’re recognized to supply and place pretend jewellery on victims,” the advisory reads. “Whereas inserting the pretend jewellery, they are going to try and steal the jewellery belonging to and worn by the victims, generally in a violent nature, after which drive away.”
The advisory didn’t present an outline of the suspects however stated residents shouldn’t method the person or girl or interact in dialog with them, even when they seem pleasant.
“If you’re strolling alone in these communities, particularly in case you are aged, attempt to preserve your jewellery hidden,” the advisory reads. “If you’re approached by somebody suspicious or consider you see the suspects within the space, please name your native police division.”
