A pair of sheep sparked a low-speed chase by South Boston after breaking free from an area church on Christmas Eve. 

A Boston Police Division spokesperson mentioned the incident occurred round 4 p.m. Sunday on Boston Road, close to Andrew Sq.. The sheep — one black, one white — have been set to participate in a nativity scene at Our Girl of Czestochowa Parish. 

Boston police radio calls posted on the social media platform X seem to doc the un-ewe-sual state of affairs. 

“On Boston Road, on the [Interstate] 93 overpass bridge, I’ve two lambs. A black one and a white one,” an officer mentioned within the clip. “Are you able to ship animal management or somebody out right here?”
