Ashur Carraha was intercepted 3 times for Stonehill.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (AP) — Steven Krajewski threw for 3 touchdowns, Rickey Spruill rushed for 101 yards and the Wagner protection made three interceptions in a 28-17 victory over Stonehill on Saturday.

Zachary Ricci returned an interception for a 49-yard landing for the second of three Wagner touchdowns within the second quarter. Freshman Jaylen Bonelli added a 12-yard landing seize from Krajewski for a 21-14 lead with 17 seconds left within the first half.

Wagner elected for a brief kickoff and Mahkai Wilson returned it 12 yards to provide Stonehill a shot late within the first half. Ashur Carraha accomplished a move to Jermaine Corbett for 11 yards on first down and Perry Shelbred made a 44-yard area objective to get inside 21-17 on the break.

Bonelli, who earned his second consecutive Northeast Convention rookie of the week on Monday, had 5 catches for 57 yards and two touchdowns for Wagner (3-5, 3-2). Roberto Auguste and Junior Wily additionally had interceptions.

Carraha was intercepted 3 times for Stonehill (3-5, 2-2). He was 14 of 30 for 162 yards.
