The girl was hospitalized with accidents that aren’t life-threatening, the MBTA mentioned.

An MBTA bus struck a 71-year-old lady in Chelsea Thursday morning, transit officers mentioned, leaving her with non-life threatening accidents.

The bus was turning onto Cross Avenue from Broadway round 8:45 a.m. when it struck the lady as she was crossing the road, Transit Police Supt. Richard Sullivan mentioned their preliminary investigation confirmed. She was knocked to the bottom.

The bus stopped instantly, and the pedestrian was aware and alert. The MBTA mentioned she was “at no time” beneath the bus. She was delivered to an area hospital with neck, again, and leg ache.

An MBTA spokesperson mentioned the investigation into the crash continues to be ongoing and that they “sincerely want the lady a speedy restoration.”

The incident comes just a few days after the door of an MBTA Inexperienced Line practice closed on a girl as she exited the practice, an incident that can be now a topic of investigation inside the company.
